Ikas Wholesale Clothing and Fashion Site

My career as a clothing designer started at the age of 17 in Ubud Bali 10 years ago (in 1995). My Aunt Reza was a designer of batik clothing in Bali, she owned a shop where I use to visit every summer holiday. My Aunt Waty was also fashion illustrator in Ubud Bali. Her untimely death-(with my mother soon to follow) left me to tend to things at my dad's Shop in Ubud. I was still in SMA high school, doing my final years, and on my way to a lucrative Stewardest Career at Cathay Pacific. I quit wanting to become a stewardest after I graduated to keep Dad's Fashion shop going, and I worked part time at the Wisata Cinema.

At that time Dad had one of the most strategic clothing boutique shops in the Ubud, and the shop employed the finest staff and designers and tailors. I learned from the old ways ! We needed to make money fast, and with the people I encountered in the all over the place, we could make tailored clothes in huge quantities. We started with some of the richest people in Bali account the word spread, and all the Puri people started to follow. We made all the promo clothes that they sold on the gatherings.

During the movies, I worked as the tickets lady, so I got to speak with alot of people. During college days, I had a full ride to school for Engineering at the Udayana University. My major was Civil Engineering, but changed to Architecture. It ran almost 4years! before I graduated and earned my Bachelors title. Then I went to back to Ubud to run dads small shop again. In 1999, I designed a line of clothing for pregnancy chicky Babe. When my dads senior designer asked me what I called this strip of pregnancy wear, I blurted out- "Maternity Chicky Babe wear". Thats what Pregnancy clothes lines was called. I kept dad's trademark on 'Maternity Chicky Babe' and made that my Plus size maternity line. It still holds today. At the Kuta Carnival Festival in 2003 I started handing out my cards and thats how it all started. I stayed in the Wholesale Maternity Clothing Wear keeping my status as an official. I moved to Nusa Dua in 2005 after hitting "it" (clothing wear) in the Jakarta Fashions. I played around with stocks a little bit, and this one stock I purchased went through the roof. I have since given up the vitamins and nutrition to concentrate on the Maternity wear. It's just like making clothes in dads factory again!!!!! I love it!!!!!!!
